Christine and Woodblock's Courtship WOO or WOES?

Many were wondering what was the video that I have screened during the banquet, I actually took up a video package which includes 3 videos - MTV, Tea Ceremony, Banquet

As I have already done a memory lane photo boards for my ROM. Therefore I requested for the MTV to cover some of the important events that happened during our courtship days! From Psar malam to punggol lake, i am so glad we really went down to al the actual venues for the eventful happenings in our courtship days.

The MTV start out with me bloggin on the night before the wedding - as i downsize the video (resolution is blur so u might not be able to make out the date) and dozing off in slumber land recalling my memories of woodblock and how i felt about him. So the story unfolds mainly from my perspective =)

I wonder if it was out of being nervous or what, but i find myself always stranded waiting outside the loos for woodblock while he kept having stomache and breaking out in perspiration.

Courtship woo or woes? I leave it for you to decide.

I guess I was really tired when i watched the mtv earlier on, but when i review it now, I actually tear and was so glad that I stepped out from my thrift zone and invested on the videos. I really want to thank Clarissa(iStyle wedding planner) for suggesting and picking the song for me as the lyrics totally portray how i felt for woodblock when he was still wooing me with his poor dating skills and moves. Alas the wonderful Linda for the nice video hue, tone and feel for the mtv video. Luv it!

For those who need a reference or comparison here's the details of the package I took:

A Hilarious DIY Hokkien Wedding

Sick at home today and I came across this funny video while i was trying to find some interesting wedding video montage for Shawn.

I really enjoyed it and if woodblock had been 30 when he married me, I would have insisted on using this song too....!!! Must had been a very entertaining time for all the banquet guests watching the video montage => super thumbs up for the creativity!!!

Tea Ceremony Highlights of Princess Christine and her Prince Woodblock

For our tea ceremony, as it was a last minute inspiration and push from Xuan that we should get a videographer too, we manage to hire istylewedding which actually help us to cover all the videos from our love mtv, tea ceremony and all the way to the banquet =) Even though the tea ceremony video was obviously a template style video, but i do like some of the effects like the veil covering and unveiling before i switch to my tea ceremony gown. I am hoping to share my love mtv but fear of the copyrights infringment etc =(

Anyway A BIG KUDOS to my wonderful 3 princess jiemeis for making it such a wonderful moment =)

Before watching the video, one important thing to note for brides is that for some bridal shops, it will be best to check out the accessories way before hand => minimal 2-3 weeks ago before your big day as to ensure that the jewelleries are to your taste and definitely not too OLD =) for me i borrowed the head gear from Bliss Bridal as I like the recommendation for using cut out laces etc but i dislike the other accessories like earrings and necklace as they werent vintage enough for my vintage french gown. It was a good thing that i prep those accessories ealier on for the photoshoot and now they come in handy and save me a big hassle from going around to find the accessories !!!

Some interesting details to note for the video:

- My new fashionable pink velcro which is use to hold the hair back! (so high tech that my other 3 neighbouring country princesses never seen it before =P)

- Kawaii Mei de beauty 's gentle instruction and way of asking for ang pow => it almost felt like she introducing some new product

- Pancake disaster by woodblock

- Cute tall chef hat specially prep by Snow Xuan (it is great that her cousin is a pastry chef)

- My dream Vintage Cream Beetle

- One of the Xiong di is M lol => Hongderella's Prince charming

- Woodblock was so shy that i even have to ask him for his hand while posing in front of our car

Sit back and Enjoy the video

Interesting behind the scenes fact:

1) The boy who was suppose to open the door for woodblock couldnt get the door opened so woodblock secretly helped him to open the door for himself from the inside

2) It was hilarious that woodblock had no idea how to use the heart shape stencil i have prep for him. Do you know he actually poured the pancake mix into the stencil until it was full and Hongderella was laughing hard when she told me the next day that she thought that he was making some muffin or something and in the end everything was burnt! My jiemeis wanted to give woodblock allowance by asking for the last set of ang pows and provide him with some helpline but woodblock was stubborn and insisted on attempting on the making the breakfast for me *heart meltz*

3) My cute jiemeis was so busy making sure they have done a terrific job with time keeping and making sure all the items are completed that they din even check how much $$$ as given to them. Unknowingly, they let woodblock in with just $8.80 each. I was laughin like nuts when i learnt about it but i got woodblock to pass them the last angpow(the real one with the $$$) to them after we went down to cars.

4) Woodblock collapse and dumped me on the bed after the videographer's request for him to carry me becos he he couldnt carry me.

Thank you Linda, Ah yong and Clarissa from istylewedding, the wonderful video team that has make this video a wonderful memory to capture my wedding!

Our Life Story

For friends and families who din manage to catch our Story Board Display on the wedding, no worries! I have taken pics of the story board one by one and interlay with Hong's storyboard(similarly to protect's hong's design, I left out the background design leaving only a plain white bkgrd). I luv Hong's way of writing out our story and her dad's wonderful translation! Now the reason why i requested for the chinese version to be added in was duely becos the elderlies in our families mainly have the preference to read chinese. So I wanted some touch of the story board whereby the readers/viewers will have comfort in reading it.

Therefore this might be something for you to consider too if u are doing a storyboard for your wedding=)

We are engaged!

It seems a gazillion years since we have dated since the end of our University days. It is really lots of fun I must say and precious moments being shared when you date while you are studying.

So now after browsing through so many webby for informations on wedding ideas, I have decided to start a blog to keep track of the so many wonderful things which I badly lUVVV but yet too many to work on!

But alas before this great moment, I shall start the first blog which is every woman's dream which is the proposal itself. I am glad my witty best galfren cum sister, qi did a great job by capturing the special moment on video cam (which my bf has surprising excluded out from his GREAT PLAN lol guess he must have been nervous lol!) Well don't be surprise, because his evil tyrant gf has always been a fan of the romance and crazy ideas and so she told him 'If you ever propose and it is not touching, forget about me saying yes' and prep him with the thought of 2nd and 3rd trial attempt due to previous failure attempts.

So my woodblock bf started his intensive search on internet and was even more stress when his gf show him this marvelous overseas proposal

This proposal is every woman's dream and every man's night mare hahaha. Spoil market hor!

But girls sometimes you must stress the guys a bit. Well at least they will come to senses that they need to put in some effort for ya. Hmm think about this, this is really once in a life time and you will really hope that when you break the news to ur frens... everyone will be like equally as excited as you are. I think guys who happen to chance my blog might strangle me for psychoing ur gfs for ya-ya over proposals BUT I can tell you if my wood block(aka not so romantic) bf can do it, dun be lazy and excuse yourself and say things like my gf prefers it simple and cost saving. BULLSHIT dun you noe girls are creatures who are 'Kou Shi Xin Fei' ma? if you still haven grasp that, I fear for your life as you might be threading on the edge of a CHAINSAW muaahahaha.

ok I'm drifting away from my proposal story:

Well qi asked me out on a dinner date with her at marina square. So after dinner she suddenly wants to visit the laserworks show at Suntec city which she exclaim that she has not seen it before (which i suspect she is telling the truth and you will know why later). So she started draggin me (who happened to be sick) towards the fountain of wealth but alas she was so excited that she walk so fast until i cant catch up with her. haha The best was she did bring me to the fountain of wealth but she went to the top level (see that's why I say she really never seen the show before) instead of the bottom level where you can see the laser show. It was only after some time den I realise she was babbling about the laser show so I told her it is the wrong floor and almost fainted because I was practically chasing after her up the stairs and realise it was the wrong place.(sometimes qi is really cute and more blur den me so I luv being around her)

So she started looking pretty flustered, panicking and ran down the stairs again. Finally we manage to catch the laser work show which qi again amazingly started taking out her video cam to film the laser works. I was like wow she looks like some tourist who TRULY NEVER SEEN laser work shows before (but then deep inside I have a hunch she is a weirdo today).

What happens next was a sweet and surprise dedication from Vitor and he came running out from hiding area (inside the DJ booth) and tada propose!

FOr the visual details ... well just watch the video :

Like I say I luv qi! The video capture allows me to have the the first chance at editing of video and I'm proud of my work!!! Funny to say many pple's first rxn, esp the guys was 'wah laser work proposal must been a big hole in the pocket' .... lol let me announce the price to everyone : IT"S FREE OF CHARGE!! Yesss! FREE you din hear me wrongly! Suntec city provides free service for dedication! http://www.oraclelaser.com/touchscreen.htm . Guys pls brush up on your knowledge and you can do this for ur gf's bdae or anniversary etc.... So this is a very smart idea which Vitor had came up with and 2 thumbs up for him!!!

Sad to say the resolution wasn't clear enuff to capture our tears etc etc. So far I did a survey, many galfrens tear when their bf propose as this is really a touching moment since you are so happy and lost for words. Even Vitor told me that he was so touched by himself that he almost tear (isn't that cute? but sorry guys he is my teddy bear you are not allow to touch him even tho he is cute). BUT the fabulous part was not it, when we went to his house, he has a second part of the surprise awaiting for me! he filled up his room's ceiling with so many balloons and there was a sweet certificate placed and tied up nicely on the table which we need to sign to signify the day of the proposal!(copy my idea tho, I once gave him a cert during our first month anniversary, but he is really good at copying ideas lol)

Thank you so much my dear for giving me such a wonderful memory!
