First Photo Selection for AD Album from Coffeestain Photography

Think it might come as a surprise, but we actually sign up the most comphrehensive package we can find from Chris Lim on the AD photos. I am not sure about his rates now but back then we actually sign up at some promotional price so it cost us about $2700 $2160 (20 % discount).

The package includes:
- for 10 hours over split days (2 days)
- 12"x12" 40 pages magazine style
- 80 highly advance edited photos

Now the woes set in when I see the number 80! There are just way too much photos for selection and thank goodness, Chris Lim made the first photo selection on our behalf instead: So here's round 1 of pic selection w/o editing etc still in a raw stage.

Tea Ceremony Highlights of Princess Christine and her Prince Woodblock

For our tea ceremony, as it was a last minute inspiration and push from Xuan that we should get a videographer too, we manage to hire istylewedding which actually help us to cover all the videos from our love mtv, tea ceremony and all the way to the banquet =) Even though the tea ceremony video was obviously a template style video, but i do like some of the effects like the veil covering and unveiling before i switch to my tea ceremony gown. I am hoping to share my love mtv but fear of the copyrights infringment etc =(

Anyway A BIG KUDOS to my wonderful 3 princess jiemeis for making it such a wonderful moment =)

Before watching the video, one important thing to note for brides is that for some bridal shops, it will be best to check out the accessories way before hand => minimal 2-3 weeks ago before your big day as to ensure that the jewelleries are to your taste and definitely not too OLD =) for me i borrowed the head gear from Bliss Bridal as I like the recommendation for using cut out laces etc but i dislike the other accessories like earrings and necklace as they werent vintage enough for my vintage french gown. It was a good thing that i prep those accessories ealier on for the photoshoot and now they come in handy and save me a big hassle from going around to find the accessories !!!

Some interesting details to note for the video:

- My new fashionable pink velcro which is use to hold the hair back! (so high tech that my other 3 neighbouring country princesses never seen it before =P)

- Kawaii Mei de beauty 's gentle instruction and way of asking for ang pow => it almost felt like she introducing some new product

- Pancake disaster by woodblock

- Cute tall chef hat specially prep by Snow Xuan (it is great that her cousin is a pastry chef)

- My dream Vintage Cream Beetle

- One of the Xiong di is M lol => Hongderella's Prince charming

- Woodblock was so shy that i even have to ask him for his hand while posing in front of our car

Sit back and Enjoy the video

Interesting behind the scenes fact:

1) The boy who was suppose to open the door for woodblock couldnt get the door opened so woodblock secretly helped him to open the door for himself from the inside

2) It was hilarious that woodblock had no idea how to use the heart shape stencil i have prep for him. Do you know he actually poured the pancake mix into the stencil until it was full and Hongderella was laughing hard when she told me the next day that she thought that he was making some muffin or something and in the end everything was burnt! My jiemeis wanted to give woodblock allowance by asking for the last set of ang pows and provide him with some helpline but woodblock was stubborn and insisted on attempting on the making the breakfast for me *heart meltz*

3) My cute jiemeis was so busy making sure they have done a terrific job with time keeping and making sure all the items are completed that they din even check how much $$$ as given to them. Unknowingly, they let woodblock in with just $8.80 each. I was laughin like nuts when i learnt about it but i got woodblock to pass them the last angpow(the real one with the $$$) to them after we went down to cars.

4) Woodblock collapse and dumped me on the bed after the videographer's request for him to carry me becos he he couldnt carry me.

Thank you Linda, Ah yong and Clarissa from istylewedding, the wonderful video team that has make this video a wonderful memory to capture my wedding!

Princess Christine's Guo Da Li

Strange as it may seem, but i realise that Guo Da Li is pretty easy and simple (since i left everything to be done by woodblock , my parents and in laws to settle for me).

So basically what i have done was to just turn up on time on the day itself!

Now the items from the groom side was pretty straight cut:
- 98 cans of pig trotters (yes crazy number)
- 50 boxes of cakes from Choz
- 2 pairs of dragon phoenix candles
- si dian jin jewelleries
- dowry red packet
- angpows for my relatives like granny, parent, brothers plus aunts and uncles
- a basket of oranges (shili and me took quite a while to arrange the oranges to look good in terms of layout as the no. of oranges were not that friendly for arrangement)
- 2 bottles of hard liquor

woodblock insisted in buying a basket despite i told him there wasnt a need. but when i saw that the basket he was pointing to have those gold glitters on the red bkground, i agree it was simply gorgeous and let him buy the basket!

1 box of dragon candles plus 1 box of phoenix candles
Pointer: Now unknown to many brides like me, the 2 boxes of candles were packed in such a way that there is 2 dragon candles in one box and 2 phoenix candles in the other. so when the bride side receive the candles, the bride's parents are suppose to exchange 1 of the candles in the boxes so as to make it a proper dragon and phoenix dragon set for each box. then the bride's parent is suppose to return one box of the dragon and phoenix candles to the groom's side.

The 2 bottles of hard liquor => i wonder why cant we have champagne, yomeishu etc instead? more tasty loh! hmm better still i prefer 2 cans of abalone ... yum yum

The si dian jin, ping jin ang pow and all the other angpows were placed in a tray. i was very happy when my mum's relatives were praising how beautiful the si dian jin look and thought it was really special.

the crazy boxes of cakes (50 of them!) from ChoZ.
Pointer: Do remember to request for enough plastic carriers to make it convenient for your relatives to take it home.

The box is pretty lovely in dark red.

There's a customise sticker in front which i luv it and din noe about it until the cakes arrived.

Nice presentation too.

My happy sis in laws..... Know why they are grinning from ear to ear????
Princess Christine cum Evil sis in law: " Oi oi oi, never do work and still sit there! So lazy!"

The magic of angpows!
Ah li: " Who will work when we are already paid =P "

More sneaky smiles from my sis in laws

One interesting thing i notice was that i realise where all my art genes came from:

PRESENTING my MUMICASSO's Art

Her own grand floral arrangement out of fresh flowers. if you think floral arrangement is easy u should really try it at home => it is a fine line between pretty and ugly lol

One strange thing was that i realise she knows how to tie nice perfect bows. From all the micellaneous decos in the house, the only thing i was astounded was by her perfect bows. the picture above did some injustice as i went to move her bows by quite a bit ... (ok mabbe by a lot =P)

Presenting DADDICASSO's work:

This is the most creative art work I have ever seen.... LOOK CAREFULLY

haha did you find it? my dad decorated every single floral bloom with a water droplet. It may seem insignificant but it was so good that Ah li thought they were fake super glue faux droplets! Very CHIO indeed!

At the end of the Guo Da Li, I took home with me a huge pink suitcase plus those standard red basins, etc => definitely saving it for ah jie's(my other sis in law) wedding!

It's Princess Christine's Big Day Tmr!!!

OMG, I simply can't get to sleep at all. Finally my dream is going to be realise tmr and I will soon be walking down the aisle with my woodblock!

Thinking back all these while, it had been a long journey with woodblock (cum hubby in just a few more hours time). From the time we joined cultural activities camp as key councilors to the time when I finally popped the BIG question to this thick woodblock.... everything just seems like yesterday. I can still remember clearly how shy this woodblock can be and I really wonder what will happened to both our life journey if I hadnt finally taken the final step.

But one true thing that I am sure of is that this had been the most wonderful and exciting chapter that has happened to my life.....

KAWAII Solar EStasy Head Wedding Couple

Recently there is a new addition to my bedside table .....

Ops yes it is my new wedding table portrait... (very good choice made by ah li as always as it is more in tune with my room's theme)

UP close.. ops pardon me but this estasy head figurine is difficult to capture

Aha much better after i force the head to pause a little lol.... KAWAII isnt it?!? well at least that's how my mother in law and ah jie(my other sis in law) thought about it when i was putting them out on suntanning at the living room!

Red Sexy Bareback Tea Dress Confirmed!

Finally, I have chosen my tea dress from Bliss Bridal yesterday for my tea ceremony. Basically, there wasn't much to choose from since the criteria was stringent as it needs to be bright red dress.

In fact I only tried 2 dresses and I already made my decision.... TADA the chio bare back bright red cheong sum. Think it complements my skin tone well. Makes me look fairer somehow =)

The back is the cross string tied back.

Cant help but notice and feel relief, I am still slim looking at least on camera. I have put up with a kg recently... so was worried to nuts that I might appear fat during gown fitting..... WHEW

BUT i will try my best to slim down more =P

Xuan helping me make sure the back is of a nice fit... love this meticulous friend! she even bought me and Hong, the 2 btbs, vitamin c fizzy tablets to prepare us for the wedding!!! SUPER SWEET ISNT IT? I am so gonna drink it till the wedding!

Ok very unglam and ven Kingsly stopped with what he was doing (he was attending to another bride) and told me to walk properly, I am like destroying his gown's image with the ugly duckling style of walking.

Tada ... the slim oriental princess Christine. I think I am really suited for mermaid gown loh!

In the end, we did not select a single bridesmaid dress for my xuan, hong and qi because I realise the bridal shop was actually using those rom dresses for the brides for my jiemeis... and were not matching =( very disappointing. So in the end I turned down the dresses and I know exactly where to get the dresses for the jiemeis ready =) So here's the exciting bargain I gotten:

1) One more WG out on loan for my banquet night which is the gorgeous cheong sum white gown that many other bliss btb has been enquiring me about! The costing of loaning out one more bridal gown defitnitely outweighs the costing of getting the new dresses for me jiemeis (which i already the price in mind =P)!

Whisper: actually I already had that in mind a long time ago but i have yet asked for the additional costing for such arrangement... renting out one more gown is expensive... now that there is a loophole, of cos i m gonna make use of the chance.

- I was also provided with the jiemei's corsages too.

So princess christine truimphs in her bargain again!!!!
