Li Hai Ah Li triumphs again with her LiHAI wedding cards!

Now I have been pestering my sis in law to help me rush out the invite cards as i receive the soft copy of my wedding pics late last week. Thanks to her experience photoshop skills, she came up with the wedding card very soon(as most of the time she still have time to be her super cool ah li by watching all sorts of music video all day long lol ) but this doesnt mean she compromise the quality of her work.

Sometimes i m amaze by her. cos with the little time she spent working on computer, she works magic on her little mac book and voila comes magic and interesting images/graphics/logo designs just came out.

I wanted a vintage feel wedding card and as usual, she delivers excellent work (i wonder if it is becos she understand me quite well after being together for so long => so there's a kind of telepathy).

Overview

Zooming in on the cover of the card

Even though i gotten her to edit a little bit of the pics below to lighten up the white bubbles a little, i couldnt help but wanted to share a sneak preview of it first uphand with you pals =) I will upload again when the bubbles are adjusted but for now we can just admire draft no. 1 first =)

Of cos even though i know nuts about photoshop, i m quite smart with using the prog paint to remove my contact no. be4 i upload.

Indeed, LIHAI AH LI TRUIMPS AGAIN!

PS: i cant tell you how much the whole family like calling her name with an adjective in front e.g. Smell -Li , Lazi -Li, etc etc and the whole list goes on and on

Let's Vote for the Curtain Design Set Up for Christine's Ang Chuang Deco!

Yes, about a month ago I bought the wedding bedsheets for ang chuang and boy it was my gorgeous shanghai theme wedding bedsheet!!!

However, being a perfectionist for aesthetics, I wanted to make sure that the bed was picture perfect on that day! So things/props I have prep to deco my bed with:

- A pair of oriental hello kitty which is back at my seng kang house now

- A pair of Fuchsia Pink Organza
- Shanghai Bedsheet

- Red Oriental Floral Pillowcase for my big pillow

Putting everything together for the bed :

OMG this is absolutely stunning isnt it. I luv the fact that this oriental wedding bedsheet so much into my wedding theme and yet so unique in terms of idea as i have yet heard of any brides using such design yet.

Anyway let us now look at the design by extending it to the whole platform bed.

I have 2 ideas bascially for the curtain display
Design 1:With black string curtain in between the organza curtains for a modern fusion look

Design 2: Sole fuchsia pink organza for a full traditional oriental look

The pink organza curtains were actually over length, but thanks for my creative and genius gene MUAHAHAAHA that lies in my loyal blood, I just use 2 simple rubber bands to bundle the curtains at the center to make it like those chinese ribbon sash across the chinese groom in the olden days.

So what's your vote my dear btb readers? Design 1 or 2 setup? Please help me by leaving a comment =) Cant wait for the oriental wedding soon!!!

Guo Da Li Cakes from Choz

For those who are curious what cakes I have ordered for Guo Da Li, in the end the woodblock ordered the wedding cakes from ChoZ (yes i this is quite a branded brand considering that so many mediacorp celebrities order cakes from them = > check this out http://www.chozconfectionery.com/2007/home.php ) under the specific demands of my mum. So even though i was pretty upset that the cakes are not going to be DIY and customise by me in the end as I do have my own ideas cooking up already before her decision came pouring ice water on my stove fire.

I do admit that her choice was good despite of the hole burnt in woodblock's pocket as

So presenting my Guo Da Li's wedding cake:

P.S: I am upset that i couldnt get my hands on my fav oriental wedding lamps(from idear collection@far east)! i shall now embark on another long journey to find that perfect lamp!!!

A Unique Kawaii Wedding Dolls

While I thought my oriental hello kitty dolls should suffice for my wedding as deco, my hearts flutter when i chance upon gorgeous handmade customise wedding dolls. I recall doing a research on wedding dolls before (http://christineandvitor.blogspot.com/2008/10/teddies-teddies-on-wall-whos-cutest-of.html) and I mentioned that there is one particular one that i saw that i luv to the core but it is handmade by a bride overseas!

This is the one that i was mentioning about!!! Cutest to the bit isn't it???

There when i saw jullie's blog, i thought why is it always a coincidence that i find something so perfect during the wedding prep (just like i accidentally saw the word grand shanghai in the forum just when i was about to confirm with si chuan dou hua restaurant)
.

So i guess it is my duty to share my gem find with those brides who wants a unique customise wedding dolls like me so presenting jullie's gorgeous and LIHAI wedding dolls (DRUM ROLLzzzzz)

I know you must be drooling like i am right now. I almost scrutinise the pics of these dolls for like 10 full minutes and immediately email in to jullie. However, i was very upset when i was informed by her back then during late july that she was quite packed with orders and she wasnt sure she can promise to take my order =(

Boy I was truly disapointed becos i was so excited by the dolls. So after months passed by, I was slowly forgetting about this disapointment then came a surprise email from Jullie!!! Yay finally she is able to take up my assignment and she even went to the trouble to take up the challenge i have post to her back then during july(i wonder if i have intimidated her with my requests). Instead of the western wedding gown design for the dolls, I wanted a pair of dolls that commemorate my oriental vintag wedding and was pretty inspired by the sexy chio white cheong sum i wore for the photoshoot. So she suggested that she will even have the dolls put on stand so that they will be standing instead of the usual sitting down ones which she has been making so far. Jullie is also very particular about her work and has high expectations of her works because when i offered to make the payment(or even part of the deposit first), her first reply was that she will only collect payment only once the doll is out and that i must love it first before she will sell them to me.

The reason why her dolls are so gorgeous is because if you look carefully, she has included so many little detailings. From the romantic mini flower bouquet, mini pearl beadings, and the intricate lace wedding dress.........

she even take care of the hair deco of the bride.

Did i mention that she also translate her creativity into

dreamy corsages that is not just lasting but she even went to the little detailing to allow these corsages to be converted into brooches for the bridesmaid to keep as a souvenir and fashion wear after the wedding.

Finally for those who have a higher budget, she also handmade

dolls for the bridesmaid too!!! KAWAIIII right?!?!?!?

She even customise the dolls to the jiemei's according to their character. to see more pics of these you can go to her blog to take a look:
http://jullieteo.blogspot.com/

I think I am going to have a sweet dream tonight about my oriental inspire gorgeous dolls!!!!

PS: I am very happy that my dad's health is now stable and will be discharge from the hospital tmr. Thanks for everyone's concern =)

Here's the slick tv console!!! love the stripy design in front! feels modern due to the modern black shiny paint and yet it complements my zen like furnishing as the stripes looks like those wood gradients.

Please note that the selection of photos was done in a VERY SYSTEMATIC way base not just on aesthetic solely as woodblock and me wanted a variety of pics shots and sceneries. If not trust me, most of the pics will come from aisna lunar bar instead lol.

But i think the photo which surprise me the most will be at neil road and the rail way station. The pics capture looks like the in between of fall and winter => i think steven is really LIHAI to capture that particular tree! as for the railway => well for a rare 3 mins shoot and then run for your life from the railway master is no joke and prolly something. So let's applaud for the photoshoot crew dat day => becos no glimpse of KA CHIONG-ness was being capture despite my heart must be screaming: "OH NO!" like a zillion times.

Ok Will update soon on my bracelet which I finally ordered and will be ready on the 17th of Sept. Really luv asian lunar bar *heart meltz*
